Cadillac Repair: 1997 cadillac dash info codes, mileage cars, cadillac sts

I have a 1997 Cadillac sts that while driving shows the code EXP 84 and EXP 46. What does this mean.Also, this Caddy uses oil like they all do. i read on a forum about the dealer doing a "Decarbonizing" procedure done on the engine that will clean the piston rings and reduce oil consumption. is this an advisable procedure on a highe mileage car (273,000km)= 170,000 miles, or is better for lower mileage cars. my caddy runs well, just uses oil.

ANSWER: HORSE HOCKEY. They ALL burn or leak oil and always have and most likely always will.

Where are you seeing these codes as I have never seen or heard of these codes.
