Cadillac Repair: 99 Caddy Deville Delegance, gas leaks, massive fire

Question
QUESTION: I recently ran out of gas, but luckily i was able to get it started back up, the fuel pump is only about 6 months old. At first when i cut my ac or heat on i could smell gas, then sometimes just while driving around i smelled gas to, this only started happening after the incident. But its not an everyday thing, but now in the morning when i go to crank my car it hesitates, so I turn the key back, and try and crank and its like its chocking, and after about 2 attempts it starts and runs fine. If i cut it off, and crank it back up it starts right away, but if its parked a while, its hesitates and i have to do th ame thing to gt it started.  I checked my codes, and the  only curent ones are msm b0846, and acm b1311, and tcs c1282.  I'm hoping this will not cost me an arm and a leg. lol. Any advice and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: The first thing you need to do is to CLEAR (erase) ALL these codes from the computer and see which codes come back as HISTORY or CURRENT codes and let me know.

You NEED to physically look for gas leaks in the engine compartment and under the vehicle as you can start a massive FIRE if you have an obvious fuel leak if you drive the car with a gas leak.

QUESTION: I checked under the hood and under the car it wasnt leaking gas, and i havent smelled it recently it comes and goes. I cleared the codes and the same codes remain current b0846, b1311, and acm b1311 could any of these codes be the reason my car hesitates when cranking

Answer
It is possible. But diagnosing what you mean by hesitating while cranking will require physical hearing and performing several test procedures based on what is heard.

You will need to get the codes fixed BEFORE trying to diagnose the hesitation. The code readings will require a complex scanner to see what the sensors are doing.
