Cadillac Repair: 1992 CADILLAC EL DORADO, cadillac el dorado, lock cylinder

when I try to start my car the security light comes on and it won't start.  It says the ignition is disabled due the security. I was told it might be a wire.  What do I do??

It could be the:

ignition key.
ignition lock cylinder on the steering column.
broken wire inside the steering column.
pass-key module.
