Nissan Repair: 96 Nissan Maxima stalling and jerking, nissan maxima, pedal to the medal

Hello. I have a 1996 maxima that cuts off when I stop frequently. At other times when I'm driving it drops speed as if i"m coasting even though I have the pedal to the medal, then it will take off suddenly. It also will make jerky movements as if it's clogged, I notice that it runs worse when the gas gets low and when I put gas in the car. I've had a yune up and a power flush, nothing seems to work. I love this car, runs smoothly when these things aren't happening. Oh, it also runs very rough at different time when I'm at a stop light.

Hello -

When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter or had the fuel pump checked for proper pressure and volume? If not recently, then that could be your problem.

I would also check all fuel lines and hoses for cracks and leaking, as the car is almost 14 years old.
