Cadillac Repair: idle problem and hesitation, spark plug wires, intake manifold gasket

Question
QUESTION: have a 95 eldorado etc. has 106,00 miles recently the idle control motor was replaced. Its starting to do the same thing as before the part was changed. Clicking is back in gas pedal, idles high and shaky not smooth.
The car was recently tuned up, it runs horrible. Seems not to be getting the gas right. Accelerating has not much power and it holds back.I heard a noise like a popping sound when I gave it the gas. I love the car but cant find no one to fix it properly. I dont have loads of money it already cost me alot. But I love the car and want it to run like it used to smooth and plenty of power. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I have the car 2 years and it ran greatto just a few months ago.

Thanks
Lorraine

Answer
This could be a simple vacuum leak in one of the vacuum lines, A faulty intake manifold gasket that is leaking, A faulty fuel injector, A faulty spark plug or a faulty spark plug wire.

With the engine running, start pulling the spark plug wires off of each spark plug ONE AT A TIME and make sure that you are getting spark to the spark plug by holding the spark plug wire close enough to the spark plug so as you can see the electricity jump from the wire to the plug on each cylinder. The engine should run worse when you pull off each spark plug. If you have spark at one of the spark plugs and the engine does not run worse, This would indicate either NO spark, A faulty spark plug or a faulty fuel injector.

let me know what you find out.
