Cadillac Repair: fuel level sensor, fuel level sensor, fuel gauge

QUESTION: "I have a 99 deville 4.7 my fuel gauge reads full most of the time and some other times it varies.my ? is bcm or fuel gauge sensor and where would i find the bcm and does it need re-programing,and is it something i can do? current code is BO 533"

Make sure that you have no battery voltage on the purple wire at the 2 wire electrical connector at the gas tank and if you do NOT have battery voltage on the purple wire, Replace the BCM (also called the PZM). If you want pictures and directives on replacing the PZM, E-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com
