Cadillac Repair: Still wont turn over, internal combustion engine, hall effect switch

Question
QUESTION: I did as you said and it still wont turn over. I notice that in the car the computer guage read 0 mile of how many mpg I get per gallon but is does read I have 9 gallon of gas

ANSWER: David,
Okay, you gave it fuel and it won't start. Most likely, it's NOT a fuel issue. You say you had the module checked and changed the plugs but have you verified that you're getting spark at the plugs?
Beyond that, are you sure you're intake and exhaust are not clogged?

QUESTION: I am getting spark at the plug I called the dealership to price a ingition switch cause I read somewhere being that the the key has a chip on it  it can be defective and cause the fuel pump and starter not to engage

ANSWER: David,
That's correct but since yours IS cranking, the security system is not the problem. So you say you have spark, you have fuel, but it won't start? As I said before, are you sure the intake or exhaust aren't clogged?

QUESTION: Checked the intake and exhaust and their not clogged I did get the ingition control module checked But I am probably going to replace it anyway with a factory oem ingition  control module and maybe the hall effect switch and I was told I could have a bad pcm thought about replacing it.It all started from running out of gas which already cost me alot of money. I just dont know what to do

Answer
David,
You need only 4 things to make an internal combustion engine run:
1. Fuel
2. Air
3. Compression
4. Proper timing

We've ruled out the first two. Maybe you need to verify the last two now. It's also possible that somehow my instructions have been mis-interpreted in some way, making our conclusions less than accurate. Rather than continuing to spend money trying things, it might be time to have a mechanic take a look at it.
