Cadillac Repair: Cad window repair, power trunk release, circuit breaker

Both power windows don't work.When I checked the circuit breaker,it was partially melted. 91 Cad Allante convert. I replaced the circuit breaker with another one the windows still didn't work & the new circuit breaker became very hot.I quickly removed it. In addition to the power windows,the power trunk release & the console lite are on this circuit. whats my problem?

You have a short to ground somewhere in the circuitry that is controlled by this circuit breaker. What you need to do is unplu one at a time ecah item that is on this circuit breaker circuitry until the circuit braeker stops getting HOT.

The easiest way is to use an electrical SHORT DETECTOR which you can purchase at any automotive parts store.
