Cadillac Repair: miss, intake manifold gasket, speed changes

I have a 96 Eldorado, we changed the water pump and now it has a miss at low rpm  you get above 17000 rpms and it seems to smooth out, the scanner said its cyl6 & 8, I replaced the plugs and wires about a year ago , could it be wires again??? HELP

Could be a lot of things.

The first thing I would do is use some aerosol carb cleaner and spray the intake manifold gasket between the 2 companion cylinders and see if the idle speed changes as you may have a leak in the intake manifold gasket.

spark plugs. injectors, wires are also possibilities.
