Cadillac Repair: 1991 4t60-e fleetwood coupe, climate control, model vehicle

when I start the car and shift into drive (over drive) it doesn't have much of a take off. the engine runs fine but its like its stuck in a higher gear and has no power until the car achieves around 30 to 40 mph. my guess is that it is not shifting into 1st or maybe 2nd gear in the take off due to some pulse width ground problem or bad A and B shift solenoids.please help me find the source of the problem.

IS or HAS the check engine or any MESSAGE DISPLAYS illuminated on the dash prior to this problem ?.

If it HAS, You need to retrieve the codes from the computer via the climate control panel if you look at my PAST ANSWERS to others for your specif YEAR and MODEL vehicle and let me know what codes you get.
