QUESTION: they are totally blank

ANSWER: So the climate control panel is also BLANK ?

Do you get any illumination with the headlights ON and the dimmer control at full intensity ?. If NOT, You will need to pull the cluster and check several connectors at the wiring plug in harness for various voltages:

With the cluster removed you will see the wiring plug in shown as follows:

UTSRPNMLK which is the tpo row of connections

ABCDEFGHJ which is the bottom row of connections.

M = 16 volts

J = battery voltage with ignition key ON.

H = variable voltages with headlights ON and turning dimming rheostat.

C = battery voltage at all times.

N = ground wire. Make sure this wire is a ground.

Let me know your results.
