QUESTION: i was wondering i can not seem to get into the ecm threw the climate control is there a nother way and i am wondering can u put on a multi-port fuel injection in a 83 even now it came out on the 86 or can u put in the  camshaft profile and roller rocker arms from the 87 allante i get that info from here http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Cadillac_V8_engine_-_Aluminum_OHV/id/4889039 and what other power boosters can u put on the 4100 are all 4100's compatible sorry for so much

ANSWER: The ONLY modification that you want to do with a 4100 engine is to junk it as it has more problems than you can ever imagine.

How are you trying to access the computer via the climate control panel ?.

If you cannot access the computer via holding IN the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel your most likely suspect is a faulty BCM computer.

As for modifications in changing to different parts from other engines, This is out of my expertise.
