Cadillac Repair: 1990 cadillac deville sedan brakes, cadillac deville, power assist

the power assist went out on the brakes but there is no leak or line breakage. the local mechanic says it needs a new brake motor. i think he called it an svi motor or something like that. in all my years of working on cars and trucks this is a new one to me. what is this part and what does it do?

What you have is a TEVES brake system that was only used for ONE year because it is a terrible brake system to work on. Lucky You.

There a very few technicians that will even work on these brakes.

Try and get the correct name of the component as there is no SVI.
