Cadillac Repair: 1999 Eldorado 200,000, steering colum, cylinder lock

Question
QUESTION: Everytime I try to turn on the ignition it wont start but the dash keeps reading "CAR DISABLING, WAIT THREE MINUTES, REMOVE KEY". This has been happening for about 2 days and sometimes it will start but it takes about 45 attempts. Today it wont start at all. DO you think it is an anti theft malfunction? Any advice will be appreciated!! Thanks so much

ANSWER: YES, it is a fault within your PASS-KEY anti-theft system whereas either the fault is the:

ignition key.
ignition cylinder lock in the steering column.
PASS-KEY module.
ignition relay.
