Cadillac Repair: OVERHEATING, head gaskets, combustion chamber

QUESTION: MY 97 ELDO 4.6 NORTHSTAR. I PUT A NEW RADIATOR ,NEW FANS AND NEW THERMOSTAT IN IT TODAY AS IT WAS OVERHEATING.NO SIGNS OF WATER IN THE OIL SO I HOPE ITS NOT THE HEAD GASKETS. I STARTED IT UP AND TRIED FILLING IT THRU THE RESOVOIR AFTER THE GAUGE WENT UP A LITTLE PAST HALF WAY THE COOLANT STARTED COMING OUT OF THE TOP OF THE RESOVOIR. IT SEEMED LIKE IF I REVED IT UP IT CAME BUBBLING OUT FASTER. SOMEONE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO BLEED THE SYSTEM TO GET THE AIR OUT BY REMOVING THE TOP HOSE FROM THE RADIATOR AND FILLING THE RESOVOIR UNTIL THE COOLANT COMES OUT OF THE TOP HOSE DO YOU THINK THIS IS TRUE OR DO YOU THINK THE HEAD GASKET IS CRACKED CAUING COMBUSTION TO HEAT UP THE COOLANT TO A BOILING POINT? SHOULD I TRY REPLACING THE WATER PUMP AND WHAT SPECIAL TOOL DO I NEED TO DO SO? THANKS MIKE

ANSWER: You answered your own question.

The head gaskets are lekaking thus getting combustion chamber pressure into the cooling system. Replace the head gaskets.

Do NOT add any alternative sealant compounds as it will plug up your heater core and you will have no heat.

You must flsun out the entire cooling system, replace the haed gaskets per manufacturer's specifications and add the factory authorized sealant pellets to the engines cooling system to seal the head gaskets.
