Land Rover Repair: Landrover Discovery 2 transmission leak, land rover discovery 2, land rover discovery

Question
I had my 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 transmission serviced. Shortly after changing oil and filter, it developed a slight leak. The garage installed a new gasket, it is not leaking. It appears to be leaking from "on top" of the transmission and slowly leaking down onto the cross bar. Are there any fittings or other leak causing features higher up on the gearbox?
The local shops all say "oh well, Land Rovers leak".

It has only leaked half a liter in one year (12,000Kms), but it is making a mess in the garage.

HELP!

THanks
Tommy

Answer
Leakage from the top, and leakage after you had a service done, suggests they may have filled it with too much fluid.  I'd ask the shop if it's leaking from the vent.  If not, where is it leaking from?  They vent is the only thing on top, and it leaks from overfilling
