Cadillac Repair: shutting off, cadillac deville, faulty component

Question
I have a 1990 Cadillac deville. At times while I am driving or even just idling, the car will shut off. But I can crank it up again and just keep on driving. It has shut off several times in arow. The other night I drove it home from work and parked it, the next morning I went to start it, and nothing! My lights and everything else worked, but I couldn't hear the starter turn over, not even when I tried to jump it with another car. I tried it again that evening, nothing! For laughs the next morning I tried it. And it started right up.
I've put a new starter and alternator on it. I have even clean the main grounds on the alternator and the block. Please for the love of god, help me!

Answer
If you have the ignition key with the little computer chip on it then your problem is in the PASS-KEY system.

The faulty component can be:

ignition key.
Ignition cylinder on steering column.
Faulty wire from ignition cylinder to pass-key harness.
pass-key module.
Starter relay.
