QuestionI am getting a code PZM BO533. Does this mean that the fuel gage assy. needs replaced? If so can you supply info. and pictures to help guide me through this process?
Also once in awhile I get a PCM PO440 and the info center says to check gas cap, I have replaced that with delco brand, but still receive that code.
AnswerUnder each code as it is displayed is either HISTORY or CURRENT.
If B0533 is HISTORY, Replace the fuel level sender provided the purple with a white stripe wire is NOT shorted to battery voltage.
If the B0533 is CURRENT, replace the PZM, Which is the body control module.
P0440 is being caused by code B0533.
