Cadillac Repair: 1989 Cadillac Seville, Starts, when warm stalls., distributer cap, cadillac seville

Question
Hello, I have a 1989 Cadillac Seville, which has been very well maintained (both appearance and mechanically). Recently, I put new spark plugs, wires, distributer cap, radiator hose, and basic tune ups on it. It ran very well for three months after that. One day I was coming home after about a 10 minute trip and the car started to idle really high. I got it home and it was determined by a local garage that it was the ignition control module (this is when I replaced it). I replaced it myself and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now, when I go to start it up, it starts up as normal. After about 15 to 20 minutes, and when the engine is warm, the car shuts down (no matter if it is in park or in drive). Once the car is cooled back down, it starts back up and repeats the above description. Someone said it may be the oxygen sensor. Is there a way for me to test this? Or, what are your suggestions on this problem. Any help would be great. Thank You. Proud Cadillac Owner.

Answer
Your problemis NOT an oxygen sensor. When you say the car shuts down after it is warmed up to normal operating temp.

When it shuts down can you crank the engine but the engine just won't start or do you hear nothing from the engine when you try and restart it ?.
