QUESTION: hi, my coolant/temp light keeps coming on ? and the car will cut of while at a red light, backing up , stop sign, whats wrong? and i had a motor put in it and it sounds kind of loud help me plz

As with your other messages, you're being very vague. I'd love to help you but going only by what info you offer me, I'd be doing little more than guessing. The engine "seems" to over-heating. That alone could cause the symptoms you mention, but it's also possible that you have a head gasket problem or maybe even a bad head or cracked block. Going by the year and model car, my guess would be a head gasket but only a little hands-on testing will narrow it down.

Simply have the mechanic check the cooling system. You want to verify that it's all functioning properly before moving on to a possible engine problem. Once the cooling system is verified as good, then have them test for a bad head gasket. Every shop has their own procedures for diagnosing problems, I wouldn't want to try to tell them how to do it. Any professional mechanic will have no problem diagnosing a bad head gasket.
