Cadillac Repair: top engine cleaner, throttle body, northstar

Is it safe to use top engine cleaner on a 96 deville with the northstar? If so how do I use it?

Yes it is OK to use.

1. Start the engine and let it reach normal operating temp.

2. Pour in the cleaning agent into the throttle body fast enough to stall the engine. You should have a half a bottle left (approx).

3. let the engine set overnight.

4. Next morning start the engine, It will be hard to start, But it will start. Slowly finish pouring the remaining cleaner into the throttle body so as NOT to stall the engine and keep the engine running until it idles smoothly.
