Question
i HAVE THE STRANGEST SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING EVERY NOW AND THEN BY THE RIGHT FRONT TIRES AND THE LEFT FRONT TIRES-i NOTICED THIS AFTER I HAD THE OIL CHANGED AND TOOK IT BACK-THEY LIFTED IT AND I WAS A WITNESS THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE-NO LEAKING OIL-BUT i STILL SMELL IT OCCASIONALLY
ANY THOUGHTS?

Answer
If you want to save yourself a TON of time on this, take it to a mechanic when the smell is present. The reason I say this is that an experienced mechanic, can ID a smell from a mile away. Most things on a car that produce a smell are very distinctive. I know I'm always smelling coolant, gear oil, motor oil, and trans leaks, as well as over-heated brakes or burned clutches in parking lots and while driving around town. An experienced nose will GREATLY benefit you.
