Cadillac Repair: Door, caddillac, special tools

I have a 1992 caddillac Deville- passanger door will not open from inside or out.  From the out side there is no resistance when pushing on door button-door lock is working. How can I remove door panel-can the insert( above door arme rest ) on the door panel be removed to correct the problem or open the door to remove the panel to find the problem, thank you for your time and help D. :-)..

Although it IS possible to remove the door panel with the door closed, it WILL most likely do some serious damage to it. I'd suggest taking the car to a body shop first, to see if they can open it for you. The reason I say this is that they often see things like this due to accidents etc., and they have the "special" tools that give them the best chance of doing it without destroying the panel.
