Cadillac Repair: wont start, fuel delivery system, buying cars

i have a 1996 cadialc sts that i bought mash from a dealer online it is mash by the quarter pannel near the gas tank nothin bad. it  suppose to be runnin but i heard when those cars are lifted the security system is activated, i try to start the car, it rolls over but wont start i hear my fuel pump goin so im assuming its not that someone told me that there is a reset button in my trunk that resets the alarm but i cant find it can u tell me where its located and what it looks like .. thank you

Buying cars like that is always a crap-shoot. The problem is not the security system since the factory system disables the starter. If it's cranking, it should be starting.
First thing to do is spray some starting fluid or carb cleaner (pretty much any flammable aerosol) into the intake while cranking the engine. If it starts on the fluid, your fuel delivery system needs diagnosing. If it doesn't start on the fluid, check the ignition system.
