Cadillac Repair: 1992 CADILLAC ELDORADO STALLING AND SPUTTERING, cadillac eldorado, catalic

I HAVE A 1992 CADILLAC ELDORADO AND RECENTLY I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM THAT I CAN NOT SEEM TO HAVE SOLVED.
WHEN I AM STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN MY CAR STALLS AND CUTS OFF. IT'S LIKE THE ENGINE IS NOT GETTING GAS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO MY MECHANIC MANY TIME WITH NO SUCCESS. THE FULE FILTER WAS CHANGED 4 MONTHS AGO...THE MAP SENSOR AND THE ALTERNATOR WERE CHANGED IN THE LAST WEEK. THE CATALIC CONVERTOR WAS GUTTED LAST WEEK ALSO. THE VACCUM HOSE WERE REPLACED TWO WEEKS AGO. PLEASE HELP

Look at the throttle plate area and see if you see a blackish residue on the throttle plate and surrounding areas and clean it off with an aersol cleaning agent. as this residue prevents the throttle plate from closing all the way, Thus stalling.

IS or HAS the check engine light ever illuminated on the dash whikle driving the car and if it has, What CODES are you getting ?
