Cadillac Repair: 87 Deville no start, oil pressure switch, hole burn

Question
This car had a hole burn't through the distributor and into the coil, and did not run.We gave it a full tune up (cap, plugs, wires, rotor and coil)fuel pressure is 12lbs ,it has injector pulse,it also has good spark, checked timing chain for skip it was in time.Compression is 125 to 135 per cylinder.Computer has communication with no codes. The only time it tries to start is if you depress the throttle while cranking, and then it dies or sputters until it dies. Thanks for your help.

Answer
Right near the oil pressure switch connector there is a gray wire that has a connector attached to it that connects to NOTHING.

This is the factory priming wire to run the fuel pump all the time. If you put a test light on this wire it will illiminate for 2 seconds and then go out when you turn the ignition switch to the RUN position WITHOUT trying to start the engine.

IF you are POSITIVE that you can find this wire and it illuminates for only the 2 second period, You can put battery voltage to this wire which will cause the fuel pump to run all the time and then see if the engine will start.

In the distributor, are you POSITIVE that you installed the metal ground strap ?.
