Cadillac Repair: level ride pump, cadillac escalade ext, 2002 cadillac escalade ext

Question
I have a 2002 cadillac escalade ext and i am hearing a buzzing noise everytime i start my car. I don't know exactly what it could be but a guy from cadillac over the phone said thats what it is. I thought it was the fuel pump but he said it would not make a buzzing sound. So my question is if it is the level ride pump where could i find that and do you know if i can repair it!! Thank you!

Answer
If the rear end of the car is sagging down in the morning when you start your car, The noise you hear is the air pump mounted behind the right rear wheel under the vehicle.

This pump provides air to the shocks/struts to keep the back of the car from sitting lower than the front. if you keep hearing this noise the most likely cause is a leak in one of the small plastic air lines going from the pump to the shocks/struts or one of the shocks/struts if faulty and has a leak in it.
