Cadillac Repair: hard starting when warm, carburator, residual fuel

Question
QUESTION: 1990 cad. deville 4.5 eng.  Motor starts when cold, but when warm the throttle has to be depressed. I noticed fuel puddling when I opened butterfies after the car sat 1 hour.
I want to sell it to a teenager but am afraid to until I fix this problem.  Thank you for any assistance you can give me!!

ANSWER: Either the carburator is leaking internally or the float in the carburator is to high. The carb will have to come apart.

QUESTION: the car has fuel injection "MPFI". No floats!! What would cause gas to pool in a fuel injected motor?

Answer
My apologies, My mind went out to lunch.

Some of the injectors are not sealing properly when you turn off the ignition key as there is some residual fuel pressure still in the fuel lines and in the injectors and if the injectors do not seat properly they can drip fuel into the intake manifold until all the residual fuel pressure has been deminished.

It is either repair or fix the leaking injectors.
