Question   Hello Tom,
I believe I have a V-6. I recently had a abs module put on in July.  I recently changed a bulb in my back light the one on the trunk.  I had been noticing the left turn signal dimly lit like it was on and would go out when I turned it on, sometimes.   Upon returning from out of town and unloading the car.  I wanted to move it. When I turned on the ignition I noticed the radio did not come on, I thought it might be a fuse. The next morning the fuse fine. I removed the battery cables, rubbed them together.  Still no radio, except when I turned it in the off position. Same for the interior lights. Then as I was leaving work, part of my dash lights were out. What is my problem?

Answer   Your problem is a DISASTER as who EVER told you to put the battery cables together should be SHOT.

As you have just cost yourself a VERY VERY costly ordeal in getting this vehicle repaired.

Answer
When you rubbed the battery cables together you shorted out numerous electronic components within the dash and in the engine compartment.

Numerous test procedures are going to have to be performed by a Cadillac dealer or a service facility experienced on working on the electronics on Cadillac's.
