Questionmy deville has a fuel smell coming from rear tail pipe and accelerates slow. i just had a tune-up(fuel filter, ignition coil, dist.rotor and cap, wires, plugs, and map sensor. i also tried using fuel cleaner but nothing works. after abou t 15mph the car rides very smooth but after a stop it sounds and feels like it's not getting enough gas to accelerate properly. i have gone to 8 mechanics and no one has helped me. on the dash i received the codes e22 and e39 could this be expensive, please help.
AnswerCLEAR (erase) the 2 codes from the computer and see if they come back.
Perform the same sequence to get the codes and when you see .7.0 Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.
E22 = open circuit in TPS throttle position sensor.
E39 = overdrive circuit problem.
Let me know which codes come back and if they are just E codes or EE codes
