Cadillac Repair: 93 Cadillac Seville STS, electronic leak detector, cadillac seville

Question
I have tons of questions.
1) My A/C is not working and the last time I took it in to be serviced was when it said low refrigerant compressor off (or something like that).  The mechanic said he just needed to restart (?) the compressor and that all he did to fix it was unhook the battery and then hook it back up.  How can I cheaply get my A/C working again?

2) My brakes went bad on me, I checked my brake fluid and it was empty (yes EMPTY), so I filled up the brake fluid but my brakes are still not working and the brake light on the dash is lit up as is the ABS light on the dash. Furthermore, the  dash warning reads "CHECK BRAKE FLUID" Do I need to do something else?

3)  I bought this car with a cracked engine block and it slowly leaks oil.  I just keep adding oil and making sure it is not low.  Do you know if I can keep doing this?  Do I need to get my oil changed?  Any cheap solutions?

4) My SERVICE RIDE CONTROL warning is also flashing?

I understand this is a lot of questions.  I've been broke for a bit and have neglected things.  I am trying to fix these things as cheap as possible.

Thank you.

Answer
You have a leak in the AC system that has to be detected by an electronic leak detector to see what is leaking FIRST.

2. You must have a leaking brake line or hose or caliper and the LOW BRAKE FLUID light is most likely a faulty sensor on the master cylinder and you need to have it replaced and also have the braked BLED of all the air that is in them due to the low brake fluid level.

3. Depends upon WHERE it is leaking. If it's leaking on the exhaust pipes or onto anything HOT you could start a fire. You can just keep adding oil but is NOT a good idea.

4. Service ride control means that one or more of the suspension sensors is faulty.
