Cadillac Repair: 1984 caddy a/c programmer, cadillac coupe, c programmer

I have just purchased a new programmer and before I have to take the whole dash apart to find the location I was wondering if you could tell me where it is in the car . It's a 1984 cadillac coupe de ville . The last year for the big 2 door . Can you help me ?   Thanks---Tony

If you open the glove box and remove the glove box liner you will see the top half. Remove the, If it is still there, the black plastic panel that kept all the wires up under the dash on the passengers side and you will see the bottom portion of the programmer.

There is an INSTALLATION SEQUENCE that you MUST perform BEFORE you attach the metal rod to the damper door at the top of the programmer. If you do NOT do the INSTALLATION SEQUENCE you will strip the gears out of the new programmer.
