Cadillac Repair: Door problem 1991 Cadillac STS, cadillac sts, latch

Cleaning car today; front driver door would not close. Fooled with it - looked at other front door - opened it - then it too would not close. Have Security System - set it off while fooling with the doors. First time it had ever gone off since I bought car in 1991.

Answer
Try using your remote to lock and unlock the doors.

If this does NOT work, try locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.

If this does not work, Hold in the drivers outside door handle as if you were opening the door and while holding the button or handle IN, Lift UP the catch on the back of the door where the latch is with your finger.

Do same for other side.
