Cadillac Repair: 98 Deville-no running lights on driver side, turn signal switch, fuse block

Question
In my 98 Deville, I have no running lights on driver side rear and front.  Blinkers work, though.  Someone checked the bulbs first--not that--and then the fuses and only the cig lighter (2) were bad.  I haven't had a chance to buy more and get them replaced today, though.  Do they control the running lights or what does? Help!

Answer
Hi Nemo06,

Fuses are a good place to start with any electrical repair especially if something isn't working. Make sure to check the fuses in the underhood fuse block because if one of them were bad that would be where it could be located.

I don't have access to my shop manual tonight and there are fuses behind the rear seat and with the gattery under the rear seat that might also be for the lights. There is also a possability that the turn signal switch could be defective and not allowing power through it to get to the bulbs. Without a wireing diagram it would be tough to tell.

Let me know if you still need more help after checking the fuses and I will try to get ahold of a manual to help. Bill
