Cadillac Repair: 1988 Cadillac Deville battery drain, negative battery cable, maximum amperage

Question
I am having a problem with my battery draining.  The car was originally purchased in 1988 by my sisters mother. Then to my sister then to me.  The car has a v-8 engine. It has a brand new battery. I just got it out the shop.  This has been a problem with this car for awhile now. I have been having to jump the car every morning.  Once it starts it runs fine. But overnight the battery is draining. I want to keep car because my sister really loved it and she just passed away in feb.  Any suggestions of what might be causing the problem would be helpful.

thank you.

Answer
Your going to have to install an AMP METER between the negative battery terminal and the negative battery cable and see how many amps the vehicle is drawing with everything off as you would when you park it for the night.

the maximum amperage draw will be 1/2 amp. If it is more, start pulling fuses until it drops to the correct amperage draw and let me know which fuse it is.
