Cadillac Repair: 1994 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, vacuum ports, cadillac eldorado

Question
I bought my car November 2005. Northstar 4.6 engine.I love it, but it doesn't run right for very long. I've had the power train computer replaced twice. The first one was defective. The map sensor has been replaced 4 times. The throttle control sensor replaced once. The last map sensor was replaced 2 months ago. Now intermitantely it surges and dies sometimes 4 times in a row. And it runs rough, also intermitantely. It especially runs bad when the air is on. I just have to turn the air off. I've had new spark plugs and spark plug wires put on. I have the oil changed every 3000-4000 miles, and I put Shell Premium gas in it. The blower motor was replaced Feb 2006. Then this Feb it only worked sometimes, there was a broken wire that had to be traced. It runs good for awhile after I get a new map sensor put on and then it starts acting bad all over again. It has done this ever since I bought it, but I bought it from an individual who said he knew nothing about the problems, no help at all. I've put over $2000.00 in it and it still isn't right. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Do you have any CODES in the computers ?.

Look at the throttle plate and see if there is a blackish residue buildup on the plate and the surrounding area. If so, Use a spray cleaner to clean out this residue and any vacuum ports that are on the throttle body.
