Cadillac Repair: 1999 cadillac, broshure, rideing

Question
Is there a difference in the sedan De-ville 1999 and the 1999 Cadillac D'Elegance both same engines 4.6. 8 both north star engines. Thank you am waiting for you answer.

Answer
Hi Elena,

I'm not quite sure what the differances are exactly because I have been away from the dealer enviroment now for 7 years. However in the past what the D'Elegance meant was it had features that were standard that were considered optional on the DeVille. For example there could be woodgrain trim peices on the dash and door panels. There might be a special seat in that if you moved around alittle bit it would adjust the lumbar supports to your back and seat cushion to your new positions automatically. That might be especially nice for a man with a wallet in the back pocket as it can get alittle uncomfortable after rideing for 2 hours. The seat covering could be upgraded leather or special cloth. There could be lighted mirrors that fold down from the headliner for the rear 2 passengers. An optional fan for the rear seating. And of course the D'Elegance badges/nameplates all over the car to name a few things. Basically it was all for appearance and options but not much to do with the engine.

If you talked to the Cadillac sales person they might still have a broshure or be able to tell you the major differances. Otherwise go to your library or bookstore and see what the consumer reports have to say for the differances.

Sorry I can't be more help than that. Bill
