Classic/Antique Car Repair: Buying an E-type Jag, e type, shipping company

I've wanted an E-type my whole life.  My hobby has been to look, because they are out of my price range. Today I have an offer to sell one to me, looks like it would go for $15K, the offer is $7K, the catch?  I found it on ebay and I can't see it, and it's coming from a US only-owner, who took it to Germany with him, and will ship it from there (cost included!).  
Ebay has a protection program, they don't release my money unless I approve the sale.  The photos he sends show a car in nearly show shape.  What would you do?

It is a tempting deal; however, a scary one as a close to show E-type is worth much more than that. I would call a shipping company and ask how much it cost to ship a car from Germany now. If he is US military he probably gets a supper deal so that wouldn't apply. Everyone loves great deals but the old statement "If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably isn't true"
All I could say is talk to an attorney first and tread carefully.
