Cadillac Repair: 94 concours 4.6 l, transmission oil cooler, trans fluid

Trans. rebuilt 11/05 now have cooling probs. Have changed radiator, now to water pump, but trans. fluid is getting in cooling system. Any thoughts on why?

Hi Rick,

     There are only 2 ways that I can think of that trans fluid can get in the radiator.

     1) someone put it in the rad.
     2) and this is more likely, that the transmission oil cooler which is inside the radiator has a hole or leak in the seam.

     Sounds to me like you will be replacing the radiator and flushing the cooling system. Bill
