Cadillac Repair: 2002 Caddy Deville, electrical portion, lock cylinder

Question
I know that your expertise only goes up to 1999, but nevertheless, I thought I'd try you out anyways. My Deville was running 2 days ago and this morning I got in the car (left in my garage), it hadn't been run since I drove it 2 days ago, and the Keys had been left in the ignition, and I cant take the keys out, the car wont do anything, interior lights wont turn on...i get no response whatsoever. The keys are in the second position..and they seem to be locked there . Just wondering if you have any idea what the problem is?
Thanks

Answer
Purchase some graphite and spray the powder in the lock cylinder and slowly wiggle the key back and forth to see if it loosens up.

If it does NOT, you will have to remove the electrical portion of the ignition switch located down near the center of the steering column. I can provide pictures if you e-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
