Cadillac Repair: 96 ETC, minumum, gage

Question
Had bad gage cluster replaced with good used one but wont start due to theft system Dealer says to reprogram cluster leave key on for 11 min turn off for 3 secs 5 times and it will reprogram Doesnt work! put old cluster back in it fires right up!

Answer
1. Turn ignition key to run position.

2. leave in RUN position a minumum of 10 minutes, turn key to OFF position.

3. turn key to RUN position.

4. leave in RUN position a minumum of 10 minutes, turn key to OFF position.

5. turn key to RUN position.

6. leave in RUN position a minumum of 10 minutes, turn key to OFF position.

7. verify repair.
