Cadillac Repair: 96 Seville SLS Electrical Problems???, seville sls, brake light switch

Question
Just bought this car about a month ago. Aside from the ghost that seems to live in it I really love this car!!! About 2 weeks after I got the car the blower motor went out? That's what they told me. No problem. Had it replaced. When I got it back it was louder than before (you could really hear it) but it worked so OK. Today -- two weeks later- - blower motor out again. Is there something else I can check? I am no mechanic but am not one of these gals that can't do a thing for herself. Other things that make me think this is some sort of electrical issue: Last time the blower motor went out the brake lights would come on when I cut the car off. If I tap them they go off. I did have to replace the battery before discovering that the lights were staying on. Followed by a few necessary jumpstarts! When the blower motor was replaced this resolved itself. Now bm is out again and guess what? Lights are coming back on. Also the driver window will always roll down but intermittently will not roll back up. Please help! Could be just a bad bm that I got (I do tend to have luck like that occasionally) but with the light issues it makes me think there is something else going on. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
It is possible that you have a faulty blower motor. your brake light problem is most likely a fault in the brake light switch at the brake pedal and or a faulty brake relay.

As to the blower motor, I always use my scanner to diagnose and uese the override function to manually test the blower motor operation and to manipulate the blower speed.

I will also include an electrical schematic of the brake light switch location and relay location also.

However, I do have the pictures and diagnostic test procedures, Whereas you can perform the most of the same  tasks as a scanner via the climate control panel.

The only other possible fault with the blower would be the ACM which is the HEATER and AC programmer module.

I can provide you with all the information to perform various manual test procedures. However, there are many pages of information that I must E-mail to you.
