code p20 keeps coming back up no matter how many times i reset the codes the book says its a open fuel circuit does that mean i need a new fuel pump and i don't hear the windy noise when i turn the key is there another way to test this before i go out and buy one?

another thing is i was looking at my engine and on my vacuum manifold there are 3 hose slots connected to it the one that goes in to the middle one is missing can you let me know where that supposed to connect to so i can replace that.. looking in the book i think one of them goes to the cruise control im not sure do you have any info on this?

Need year and model of vehicle and engine size.

Answer
Check fuse A1 (20 amp) i the engine fuse panel to see if it is blown.

Locate fuel pump relay in the engine compartment relay center. Should be marked as relay "A". Remove relay and put a test light on circuit # 5 (pink wire and check for battery voltage with the ignition key ON.

Remove the relay and using a fused 20 amp jumper wire, remove the fuel pump relay and jumper circuits #5 (pink wire) to circuit # 3 (gray wire and listen to hear if pump runs. If it does run, Replace the relay. If it blows the jumper wire fuse, Check the wires at the fuel tank for being shorted and if OK, Replace the fuel pump.
