-----Question-----
At first my 93 Sedan Deville 4.9L was stalling at high speeds(around 65 to 70 miles/hr)I would smash on the gas to make it go.Now its stalling at lower speeds and when I smash the gas it back fires and cuts off.I had a major tune-up about 8 months ago.Do you think it's time for another tune-up or could this be a issue with the fuel pump or injectors?
-----Answer-----
Sounds like a fuel pump issue. Have the fuel pump pressure/Volume tested.

What I do is put a long hose attached to my fuel pressure gage and tape it to the outside of the windshield so I can drive the car and observe the fuel pressure under all driving conditions.

Answer
E31 = Shorted MAP sensor.

E98 = High RPM Park/Neutral to Drive/Reverse in idle speed control motor range.

The first thing you want to do is CLEAR (erase ) these codes from the computer and see if they return.

You CANNOT erase them by pulling fuses and or disconnecting the battery. You have to do it via the climate control panel.
