why would my 96 deville get hot about after a hour of driving it

Hi Adrian,

       I'm not quite sure of your question. Do you mean that it takes an hour for the engine to reach operateing temperature or that after an hour of driveing the temperature gauge is reading in or near the red/hot area.

       Also I would need to know if you have the 4.6L northstar engine or the 4.9L engine. Then I can better answer your question. Thanks, Bill
