Cadillac Repair: Suspension, air struts, air ride suspension

Question
My 93 deville tires were rubbing in the rear,I replaced air struts with regular struts now the car is sittng very low in the rear.Is there anyway I can raise the car without replacing struts again?

Answer
Your vehicle should have air ride suspension on it. Whereas, There is a plastic air line going to each rear shock.

The most common failure for these air shocks to not be working is the HEIGHT SENSOR located just above the rear axle that has a metal rod attached to it and the other end connects to the rear axle. The height sensor has a round multi-wire electrical connector and is black and about 4" square.

If you disconnect the metal rod from the axle housing and push UP on it the back end should start to rise in about 20 seconds and if you pull it down the car will LOWER in about 20 seconds.  If it does, replace the HEIGHT SENSOR.
