Cadillac Repair: 1994 Concours Service Vehicle Soon., deville concours, engine stalls

Question
i did as you told me and i couldnt find the rtd code anywhere. However a bigger problem has now surfaced. When i turn on the ignition the information center automaticaly goes to "service engine soon" and the engine stalls and chokes and when i ran the diagnostics it gave me p103 history and p105 current. this is very frustrating and i hope that you can help me figure out the problem.

-----Question-----
Hi Tom.

I have a 1994 Deville Concours that I purchased recently. I bought it at 95k miles and the person i bought it from had always serviced it at the dealership. It was due for a tune up at 96,500 and right before that, the "service vehicle soon" message appeared on the DIC. I figured it was because of the needed tuneup so i did the tuneup right after it began flashing. The problem is that the message still pops up from time to time. The car drives wonderfully so i have no idea what might be causing that. The radiator for some reason when i was doing the tuneup started leaking antifreeze but after leaking a small amount it never leaked again and i was not able to find the source of the leak. Is there a chance that might be causing it? I dont want this to escalate to something more expensive to repair but i have no idea what might be causing the problem.

P.S. At first i only saw the message when i sped up to high speed on the highway but lately i have noticed it even at low speeds.

thanks for your help
JJ

Answer
P105 = Brake booster vacuum to low. Check for leaks at the vacuum hose at the brake booster and if OK, The brake booster needs to be tested for leaks.

If you hear a whoosh sound when you apply the brakes this would indicate a faulty brake booster. I can provide you with pictures and a diagnostic procedure to test the fault. E-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
