-----Question-----
I have a 75 caddy 350 V8 gas fuel injected VIN 6S69R6Q453365
It has developed a problem.
The engine will not start. It tries to fire intermittently.
There is fuel pressure (the injectors when activated individually directly from the battery will release this fuel pressure), spark. Noid lights indicate the injectors are getting signal, although this seems weak. Maybe the ECM output is damaged?
I am considering the ECM.
Would like any advice / assistance you could give.
I am in New Zealand and cant get parts from local suppliers so I would like to order the correct parts.
Thanks
Gary
-----Answer-----
a 1975 ?.

Answer
If the BUILD DATE on the door frame says built in 75, It is an 76.

Sounds like a faulty ECM to me. MAKE sure that the rubber hose that attaches to the ECM is attached to the engine BEFORE you start tthe engine or you will blow the new ECM.

Give the parts house the VIN # to be sure of the correct part or give them the ECM number.
