Where is the Heater Control Valve located on a 1998 Cadillac Catera?  We had this replaced by Midas becuase of overheating.  The car still overheats.  I want to be sure this part was replaced.

It is located under the pollen air filter under the hood near the bottom of the windshield on the passengers side.

Once you remove the pollen filter there is a nut that holds a cover panel on that must be removed and under this panel is the water valve.
