code E55 please advise-
AnswerE55 = TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor)misadjusted.
This will most likely require replacement or adjustment of the TPS.
This fault can also be caused by:
Carbon deposits within the throttle body which need to be cleaned out.
Binding throttle cable.
Binding Cruise control cable.
Misadjusted idle speed.
Faulty ISC (Idle speed control motor).
Has there been ANY type of work performed on the engine lately ?.
Depending upon your automotive expertise the test procedures required will require a level 5 expertise. 1 being no experience and 10 being highly skilled. this repair also requires the use of the diagnostic control panel within the A/C-Heater control panel.
If you are not that experienced in Cadillac auto repair I STRONGLY suggest that you have the dealer or a qualified service center perform this complex diagnostics and repair.
